An Experience of Baroque
Charlottenburg Palace, the sumptuous Baroque summer residence of Prussian kings, has revolved around artistic creativity and artistic delight since its early days. This new concert series taking place at the Grand Orangery at Charlottenburg Palace gives locals and tourists the opportunity of experiencing the era of Baroque in Berlin. In a truly exquisite ambience of candlelight, the Berlin Palace Orchestra presents masterpieces of music, taking the audience on a journey to the golden era of Baroque and classical music. Enjoy this musical journey back in time at one of the most historic and exclusive venues in Berlin. All members of the orchestra as well as staff members are dressed in historic costumes, creating a unique combination of the magic of times past and the amenities of modern-day life.

The Orchestra
The Berlin Palace Orchestra has been formed exclusively for the concert series at Charlottenburg Palace. All members of the ensemble are highly professional and respected musicians from Berlin showing a deep understanding of late Baroque music and music of the classical period as well as a true passion for its interpretation. Endowed with a truly special feeling for music as well a high level of musical homogeneity, the orchestra presents the most outstanding works of this remarkable era to today’s audience.

Program
The program includes an exclusive selection of musical highlights from the 17th and 18th centuries: works by composers like the musical genius Johann Sebastian Bach, the highly talented King Frederick II and his court musician Luigi Boccherini as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Your evening starts with the tour of Charlottenburg Palace's chambers and ceremonial
rooms. This visit will give you a detailed impression of royal life from the baroque era to the
early 20th century.
The palace tour is followed by an unforgettable evening of music including the most beautiful
masterpieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, King Frederick II., Luigi Boccherini,
Georg Friedrich Händel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed at the Great Orangery of
Charlottenburg Palace.
Individual visitors are requested to pick up their concert tickets and the voucher for the
Palace tour at our office located at the Small Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace. Our office
hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6 :00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, closed on Sundays. Information for
groups of 10 persons and up, please see below.

Individual guests will visit the Old Palace or the New Wing with explanations given by an audio
guide (available in German, English, French, and Italian). We recommend that you start your
palace visit between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that the palace closes at
5:15 p.m.
Feel free to visit the palace anytime during the day or on any other day. Please note that the
Old Palace is closed on Mondays and the New Wing is closed on Tuesdays.

10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Please pick up your vouchers and your concert tickets in our office at
