Since their very first performance, our daily Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts have come to form an integral part of
Vienna‘s cultural and musical life.
At Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery, a place rich in tradition, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna and the Schoenbrunn
Palace Ensemble Vienna present the most beautiful melodies created by two of the greatest composers of all
times: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss

In the first part, you will enjoy some of the most enchanting overtures, arias and duets from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart: „Le Nozze di Figaro“, „The Magic Flute“ and „Don Giovanni“ among others.
The second part features the most popular operetta arias, waltzes and polkas written by the „King of Waltz“ Johann
Strauss, including „The Bat „, „The Gypsy Baron“, the world-famous waltz “The Blue Danube” as well as the “Radetzky
March”.
The orchestra is accompanied by two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone and two ballet dancers wearing historic
costumes.

Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery in Vienna

Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery provides the perfect setting for our Palace Concerts. Ever since the heydey of the
Habsburg dynasty, the Orangery has always been a center of artistic activity and festivities. During one of these
events, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri had their famous musical competition, considered unique in
music history.

Palace tour
Empress Maria Theresia appreciated the unique atmosphere of Schoenbrunn Palace and made it her summer
residence. Emperor Franz Joseph I is said to have had a special predilection for the sumptuous palace and its park.
Choose this package to feel the spell of times long past! An audioguide will accompany individual guests on their tour
of the private chambers and ceremonial rooms of Schoenbrunn Palace. Groups of 10 persons and up will enjoy an
exclusive guided tour given by one of the palace‘s guides, after the palace‘s official opening hours.

Dinner
Café-Restaurant Residenz is located in the so-called Ehrenhof („Court of Honor“), adjacent to the palace‘s main
entrance. An elegant three-course candlelight dinner awaits you. In summer, dinner will be served in the cozy outside
dining area.

Concert
The concert takes place at a location that played an important role throughout Mozart‘s career: the elaborately restored
Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery. It was frequently used as the perfect location for sumptuous festivities back in the
times of the royalty. We have decided to keep this tradition alive. The musical performance of the renowned Schoenbrunn
Palace Orchestra, accompanied by vocalists and ballet dancers, captivates the audience each and every
evening.

Dinner & concert
This package offers a unique combination of two delightful destinations: gourmet cuisine and world-famous music.
Enjoy a first-class dinner at Café-Restaurant Residenz, followed by a concert at Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery
including the most beautiful works written by Mozart and Strauss, accompanied by vocalists and ballet dancers.

Groups will receive all documents from one of our staff members at the restaurant.

After the concert, taxis will be available right outside Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery. The subway runs until midnight in

Palace tour & concert

Since individual guests will be taking the tour accompanied by an audioguide, they are free to choose the time of the
visit as long as they take it within the palace‘s official opening hours. Groups of more than 10 will enjoy an exclusive
guided tour given by one of the palace‘s guides in the evening, after the palace has closed for the public and quieted
down. Schoenbrunn Palace with an extra special touch!
Following your tour of the palace‘s ceremonial rooms, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra will take you on a journey to
the world of Mozart and Strauss, accompanied by singing and dance - performed exclusively for you at Schoenbrunn
Palace Orangery.

April to June and September to October: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
July and August: 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
November to March: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Palace tour:
During the winter, we recommend that individual guests start the audioguide palace tour at 4:00 p.m. at the latest.
During the summer, please start your tour before 5:00 p.m.
The palace tours for groups start at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively.

Individual guests are requested to pick up their documents at our office located at the Orangery. We are open daily
from 9:00 a.m.
